With the Election Day just a few days away, I will make this my last post. Below, please find an overview of my platform and campaign.
I encourage you to stack up everything I am proposing against the other candidates. While I know for a fact they all have worked very hard during their campaigns, no other candidate has provided as much detail as I have provided on how to achieve the goals proposed. Our beloved city is not healthy. Now is not a moment in Windsor’s history for talk, we need action.
On Monday, October …

All council candidates recently received a very short questionnaire from a concerned taxpayer regarding the Ojibway Park area. As with all other questionnaires I have responded to, in my attempt to be open and transparent, here are my responses:
1) Do you support the Big Box development directly adjacent to Ojibway Prairie?
The city of Windsor has conducted a study named the Commercial Land Use Policy. The study concluded Windsor is oversaturated with commercial spaces and no new commercial development is needed without first using up existing empty spaces. Also, Windsor-Essex has less …

Last week, A-News invited all Ward 4 candidates to ride the bus with their constituents and answer their questions. Here is the piece put together by A’s Cristina Howorun:

During March of this past year, Gladstone Ave., a section of a Transit Windsor bus route was under construction and the road was closed. This resulted in the rerouting of the Walkerville 8 down the 1100 and 1200 blocks of Chilver Rd.
Even though the construction date was known well in advance, there was no consultation with the residents that would be affected. This is particularly important because this section of Chilver is a main route for children walking to and from King Edward Public school as well as Walkerville Collegiate …

One item I feel strongly about is the lack of accountability held to our councillors on their voting records in council. If you haven’t tried, it is extremely difficult to determine how any of our representatives have voted in the past on particular issues. You would have to know the exact item you are looking for, the exact date it was discussed and then search through the entire Minutes of the council meeting just to see who voted what.
If elected, I will be proposing that all council votes be detailed …

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Windsor Square, Refine Fitness, Big Tony’s, moderator Jake Rondot and everyone who attended tonight’s Ward 4 Candidate’s Debate.
In mingling with the audience after the event, feedback seems to be swaying in the direction of myself coming out on top.
To provide those who were not in attendance an opportunity to form their own opinion, videos of the entire debate will be posted shortly. In the meantime, please enjoy both my opening and closing statements from the evening:
If you’ve gone around Windsor …

With early voting beginning this Saturday at Devonshire Mall and less than three weeks to the election on October 25, I thought I would take the time to summarize my campaign to date.
So far, I have been the only candidate in Ward 4 who has given detailed plans on what he is proposing. To me, that is a bit concerning. Anyone can say words that others want to hear, but how do they plan on solving those issues?
To show everyone how I plan on doing so, here is what I …

If you haven’t heard the news yet, I am very proud to announce that through WindsorEats, I, along with my sister, Pina, have been chosen as one of three finalists from across Canada for the “Innovator of the Year” Award handed out by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC). The other two finalists are Tourism Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan and Canadian Badlands, Ltd. from Alberta.
“We are very proud of this outstanding list of finalists for this year’s Awards,” said TIAC President and CEO David Goldstein. “This impressive collection of …
