With the Election Day just a few days away, I will make this my last post. Below, please find an overview of my platform and campaign.
I encourage you to stack up everything I am proposing against the other candidates. While I know for a fact they all have worked very hard during their campaigns, no other candidate has provided as much detail as I have provided on how to achieve the goals proposed. Our beloved city is not healthy. Now is not a moment in Windsor’s history for talk, we need action.
On Monday, October …

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Windsor Square, Refine Fitness, Big Tony’s, moderator Jake Rondot and everyone who attended tonight’s Ward 4 Candidate’s Debate.
In mingling with the audience after the event, feedback seems to be swaying in the direction of myself coming out on top.
To provide those who were not in attendance an opportunity to form their own opinion, videos of the entire debate will be posted shortly. In the meantime, please enjoy both my opening and closing statements from the evening:

With early voting beginning this Saturday at Devonshire Mall and less than three weeks to the election on October 25, I thought I would take the time to summarize my campaign to date.
So far, I have been the only candidate in Ward 4 who has given detailed plans on what he is proposing. To me, that is a bit concerning. Anyone can say words that others want to hear, but how do they plan on solving those issues?
To show everyone how I plan on doing so, here is what I …

Earlier this month, the Arts Council Windsor & Region, in collaboration with multiple arts groups in our region, released a questionnaire it hoped council candidates would answer to show where they stand on arts and culture in Windsor.
It is my belief that the “Cultural Hub” being proposed by the Windsor Symphony Orchestra could essentially redefine downtown as a whole and send it on a completely new, revitalized path. The mentality of our current council needs to change. There was minimal hesitation from council on spending $70 million on a new …

Last week, incumbent Alan Halberstadt released a video stating he will continue his push to help small business in Windsor. According to most of those small businesses, the only push they are getting from anyone at City Hall is over a cliff.
In a recent survey, small businesses rated Windsor the worst in the province to deal with. Small businesses in Windsor gave our local government a failing grade in five categories with almost 60% questioning the integrity of bylaws and policies. This is alarming considering small businesses account for over 90 …

I received an email this afternoon that pretty much made me jump for joy: I was invited to TEDx Detroit 2010!
If you haven’t heard about TED or TEDx, here is a snippet from their web page:

The event draws CEOs, scientists, creatives, philanthropists and extraordinary speakers including Bill Clinton, Jane Goodall, Frank Gehry, Sir Richard Branson, Philippe Starck and Bono.

As is visible through my work with WindsorEats, I am a huge proponent of supporting local businesses. So when planning meeting sessions with the general public, I decided to go against the generic ‘picnic in a park’ that most candidates arrange and host my sessions in local establishments throughout Ward 4.
This is a unique way to get to know me as all while supporting a great local business in your community.
On August 30, September 14 and September 27, come on out and have breakfast/lunch with me. After purchasing your own …
