If you haven’t heard the news yet, I am very proud to announce that through WindsorEats, I, along with my sister, Pina, have been chosen as one of three finalists from across Canada for the “Innovator of the Year” Award handed out by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC).  The other two finalists are Tourism Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan and Canadian Badlands, Ltd. from Alberta.

I recently spoke with a resident of Wyandotte St. E. in Old Walkerville. She indicated that she has to check at least once a week how far items on her shelves have moved because of the tremors from big rigs speeding by.
While the truck traffic is visible during the day it increases, and with higher speeds, in the late hours of the evening or very early hours of the morning. It is only a matter of time until it becomes more than just a nuisance to home owners and that someone’s life is put …

Local cycling advocacy group, Bike Friendly Windsor, recently sent out a questionnaire to all candidates in the upcoming municipal elections. To stay true to my beliefs in being open, honest and transparent, here are my responses:

Summer is almost over and that can only mean one thing: The Tour di Via Italia bike races are almost here.
Over the last 52 years, the TDVI has become an important tradition not just in the Italian community, but, for the city as a whole. Visitors come from across Ontario, the United States and even Europe to participate in this race and thousands of spectators line the street (and local businesses) to watch.
